About Hattie Butts

For Hattie Butts, these words are much more than a memorized scripture—they are a reflection of how she has lived her life and the foundation of her transformative ministry to women worldwide.

Hattie Butts has been involved in Christian ministry her entire adult life, serving alongside her husband, Leon D. Butts, since their marriage in 1975. With over 35 years of ministry experience, she has developed a dynamic curriculum designed to empower, motivate, uplift, and transform women so they can position themselves to receive whatever they are believing God for.

Committed, compassionate, creative, and dynamic — these are the words often used to describe Lady Hattie Butts. A native of Pensacola, Florida, she was called in her youth to be a motivational speaker and teacher. She attended Minot State College, took online classes at Marilyn Hickey Bible College, and graduated in biblical studies from the Light Bible Institute under the leadership of Dr. I.V. Hilliard. Hattie was ordained in July 2004.

Her teaching career has spanned continents and contexts. She taught school overseas for eight years and has served at Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas, The Potter’s House Clay Academy, and numerous other schools while traveling with her husband during his service in the United States Air Force.

Hattie is the author of A Godly Home: Honoring the Lord in Every Room of Your Home and 5 Bold Decisions That Position You to Receive Your It. Her retreats and speaking events have been well received, leaving women of all ages, ethnicities, backgrounds, denominations, and levels of spiritual maturity hope-filled and inspired to live a life devoted to God.

The Butts are the proud parents of Derrell Butts, Daphne ButtsTracey, and Derrick Butts, and are blessed with nine grandchildren.
